::: Ethel's Truck Stop

It was ETHEL’s work with young composers from the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe—as part of the 2005 Grand Canyon Music Festival’s Native American Composers Apprenticeship Project—that inspired the group to develop TruckStop: a collaborative musical exploration of new connections and relations. Four years later, and with countless jam sessions, festival concerts, potluck dinners, and road miles logged, ETHEL brings this work home to New York City. ETHEL’s TruckStop pairs the group’s bold signature style with these four unique musical voices, creating an inspired distillation of ETHEL’s first TruckStop residencies.
